Joe was anxiously awaiting varsity football to begin!
He had a heart murmur and drowned in 3 feet of water with 3 lifeguards around at the Brookshire pool while he was playing the game..'who can stay under the water the longest'

Joe was a great guy. I remember his untimely death, it was a shock to us all. Our hearts went out to Abby, we all knew how much she loved him. We are all blessed to have known him.

Joe and I were good friends, we were always in line together when they went alphabetical order, we always caused a ruckus and were yelled at by the teacher. Joe has always been missed. Love you man.

Joe and I worked at the Crown gas station together with the rest of the Crown Clowns. Those were difficult times working in sub-freezing temperatures without a coat. Ely Romm, the owner, did not have enough coats for the staff and would not permit the rest of us to wear our own. Joe had a great heart and will always be missed. I do think of him from time to time and wonder what his life would have been like had he lived. Clearly, Joe would have had an incredibly full life and would have continued to enjoy the friendships that we all shared.

God bless you Joe. I look forward to seeing you in the next life!

I sat next to Joe in Mr. Bolenbaugh's Human Dynamics class. What a great guy, not one mean bone in him. He is truly missed.
